Towering over County hall is the london eye, the worlds largest observation wheel, built to mark the turn of the millennium. At 450ft it is the fourth highest structure in London, The 32 enclosed capsules, each holding 25 people, take 30 minutes to make a full rotation - a speed slow enough to allow passengers to step in and out while the wheel keeps moving.
